MSP billing and reconciliation for resold licenses
SOC Tally bills the licences you resell automatically. Each month’s licence counts come in, are billed at your price, and go on the client’s invoice as their own line or bundled into one price.
What makes it hard.
- 01
Counts change, invoices don’t
Licences added or removed during the month don’t always reach the invoice.
- 02
Distributor price rises
When the distributor’s price goes up, the client’s price often stays where it was.
- 03
A second invoice
Billing licences separately means another invoice for the client to check and pay.
Set up once. Invoice every month.
What you get.
Reconciled every month
Seats billed on each month’s real count, so what you bill matches what each client uses, with changes flagged.
Billed at your price
Each licence billed at the price in the contract.
Its own line or bundled
Shown as its own line, or bundled into one price, as the contract says.
One invoice
Licences alongside devices, users, hours and everything else, with your PSA or without one.
Nothing goes out until you say so.
Nothing goes out without you
Every invoice waits for your approval. Check each line and how it was worked out, then send it through your PSA or let SOC Tally send it.
Every change on record
A full history of every change, from a contract’s terms to corrected hours, so you can always see what changed and when it took effect.
Each client kept apart
Every client’s data kept separate, so one client’s contract, numbers and invoices never mix with another’s.
Only what billing needs
SOC Tally only uses the information it needs for billing. It takes the counts each contract bills on, never the contents of your logs.
Other ways in.
Questions we get asked.
Can licences be bundled into one price?
Yes. Each licence can be its own line or bundled into one price, as the contract says.
Can we bill the security tools we resell too?
Yes. Licences for the security tools you resell can go on the same invoice as the service.
What happens when the distributor raises its price?
Update your price in SOC Tally and it applies from the date it takes effect. Every change is on record.
